Hatred never ends with hatred. Understand how love works.

I look for what Gil Fronsdal has to say whenever something especially tragic happens in the world.  Here he is on Israel and Gaza.  I find it enlivening to hear someone talk about this with humanity, wisdom, & compassion.  I learned in this talk that Gil's father-in-law survived Buchenwald concentration camp as a teenager even though his parents (Gil's wife's grandparents) died there.

Here's what he had to say back in October.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction." — Martin Luther King, Jr.
