Why I Practice

After each big disaster or atrocity in the world, I've found Gil Fronsdal's response to be wise and compassionate -- and useful in forming my own response.  Today I listened to this talk.  He presents non-harming as the essence of mindfulness practice (to my mind very eloquently) and says nothing of the motivation for the talk until he's asked directly at the very end of Q & A.  See here @ 38 minutes in.
