Working with Resentment
Dr Natali Edmonds is a board certified geropsychologist, a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with older adults. Her thoughts in this video are entirely consistent with my understanding of mindfulness practice and the ancient instruction to notice and encourage useful mental states and to discourage unuseful states. It all begins with noticing what is happening in yourself -- which is enhanced by mindfulness meditation practice.

Why I Practice
After each big disaster or atrocity in the world, I've found Gil Fronsdal's response to be wise and compassionate -- and useful in forming my own response. Today I listened to this talk. He presents non-harming as the essence of mindfulness practice (to my mind very eloquently) and says nothing of the motivation for the talk until he's asked directly at the very end of Q & A.
